Lynda “Sunnye” D. Simpson is Vice President, Resource Development at the Tuskeegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation (TASF.) Working for this organization is a way of keeping a family legacy alive. Her “pappy,” William Robert Melton, was an original Tuskegee Airman, class 43G, and one of the founders of Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation. He groomed his stepdaughter, Sunnye, to step into leadership roles within TASF and Tuskegee Airmen Incorporated (TAI). Sunnye has served in various leadership capacities including TAI’s National Public Relations Co-chair, and National Executive Recording Secretary. She is Editor and Publisher of !TFAM, a bi-weekly e-newsletter that unites readers and asks them to act to ensure the Tuskegee Airmen’s legacy of excellence. She has bachelors in sociology and a master’s in psychology.
