NewGround is a community-building organization that creates, connects and empowers Jewish and Muslim change-makers in America. Through a professional fellowship, high school leadership council and public programming, NewGround transforms Muslim-Jewish relations and advances a shared agenda for change.
NewGround’s programs include:
Muslims and Jews Inspiring Change (MAJIC) A High School Leadership Council: This program offers a select group of Jewish and Muslim high school students the opportunity to, build their leadership skills, create lasting relationships across faith boundaries and have an impact on important social issues in Los Angeles.
Professional Fellowships: Twenty fellows annually are empowered with the skills, resources, and relationships to strengthen Muslim-Jewish relations in America and advance a shared agenda for change in Los Angeles.
Internships: NewGround strives to connect and empower Muslim and Jewish change-makers who transform their communities through lasting partnership.
Change-Maker Grants: To expand the impact of personal experience and the work of NewGround by engaging our broader communities in improving and transforming Los Angeles through the power of Muslim and Jewish relationships.
Events: NewGround sponsors periodic events that advance the cause of Muslim-Jewish relations.
